Everyone behaves exactly as expected. Every ending is already known.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It sounds wonderful.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For about five minutes.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then our god does something considerably more interesting.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>He spins the wheel.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Listen to APOPHIS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/on.soundcloud.com\/cv2CHp4qM9nMsFC5IG\"><strong>Listen to APOPHIS on SoundCloud<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Apophis<\/em> combines alternative rock, a touch of punk energy, cinematic music and surreal storytelling in the evolving style I&#8217;ve come to call <strong>Dizzy Rock<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But underneath the theatricality is a simple question:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>If I already knew the ending, what would be the point of you?<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s where chaos becomes something other than destruction.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It becomes <strong>possibility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Serpent and the Wheel<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In ancient Egyptian mythology, Apophis is the great serpent associated with chaos.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the developing <strong>Future Mythology<\/strong> of the Dizzyverse, I&#8217;ve begun looking at him a little differently.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cover image captures the idea: Apophis in his ancient serpent form, wrapped around the <strong>Wheel of Life\u2014and spinning it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Order gives us structure. Chaos makes another outcome possible.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without some element of uncertainty, there can be no real surprise, discovery, adventure or choice. Life becomes a mechanism carrying out instructions whose ending was settled before it began.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So perhaps Apophis doesn&#8217;t simply threaten the wheel.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps he keeps it turning.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>APOPHIS: The Music Video<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new music video takes that idea and runs gleefully off with it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A god emerges from the black void contemplating control of the universe and the pleasures of being worshipped. Instead, he spins the Wheel of Life.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A solitary human emerges through a hole in the universe and becomes a joker.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A king laughs at his jester.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Shakespearean tragedy ends with bodies scattered across the stage\u2014except one of the dead actors gets up and walks away.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ancient hieroglyphs begin dancing.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And an archaeologist watches a mummy unravel itself and become a beautiful woman.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is all treated with suitable mock seriousness.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because in the world of <em>Apophis<\/em>, even death doesn&#8217;t necessarily know how the story ends.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Apophis Enters <\/strong><strong><em>Who Is The Dragon<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The name also has a new significance in <strong>Who Is The Dragon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Chapter 9, Senator Tut is working for a mysterious organization attempting to deal with the growing conflict among the androids and the Electricians who helped create them.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some factions want humanity eliminated. Others envision android domination.
